HOCl Outperforms Traditional Cleaners in The Dentist Office

In tests conducted at outpatient medical facilities, surfaces on which HOCl had been used showed significantly lower bacterial counts than when traditional cleaners were applied. Furthermore, it was found to be as much as 200 times more effective than bleach in killing bacteria on surfaces and yet it is not toxic to humans. Based on this data, one dentist office chose to use HOCl to clean surfaces throughout their facility. In this instance – to save time and not waste product – HOCl was applied 3 times daily using a “fogger.” This is an electrical device that vaporizes liquid HOCl and sprays this vapor into the air. This vapor settles onto surfaces and kills germs once it lands.
